Based in Cummings, Georgia and Quito, Ecuador, the Center for Mediation, Peace and Resolution of Conflict International, Inc. (CEMPROC) trains leaders in marginalized communities to be effective peacebuilders. Its activities include offering training for children and religious leaders, as well as study abroad opportunities for university students.

Programmes offers information about the various aspects of CEMPROCs work:

  • Training targets individuals in community leadership positions in order to strengthen their skills in non-violent conflict resolution processes. Programme examples include the ‘Breaking Destructive Cycles’ programme in Ecuador and the ‘Pastors for Peace’ programme. This section also links to an outline of the basic training package.
  • Research provides a background for understanding conflict dynamics and contexts, which is helpful in developing programmes and alternatives.
  • Children’s programmes seeks to reach young people as the next generation of leaders. The section includes a packet of songs for children on peace, as well as downloadable lesson plans for teaching.
  • Study abroad programmes introduce college students to the realities faced by communities in conflict zones.
  • Mediation services in both Ecuador and the United States are a key service offered by the organization.

Galley offers various photo albums highlighting CEMPROC programmes. This section also includes an online store offering CEMPROC’s manuals on conflict resolution for purchase.
